Nice Jasmin, the video tutorial!
Hello!
I am delighted to stop by and introduce you to the nugget I sewed just before leaving for vacation, my midnight blue floral Jasmindress.
When I received this lovely floral double gauze coupon from Saint Pierre Coupons, I thought gosh, it would have been so perfect with its beautiful patterns and deep blue for the Ballets Russes collection. And then I thought, "Why not reinterpret old patterns with this beautiful theme?"
We are slowly going back through the collections to update our Video Tutorials section, and the beautiful dress Jasmin was missing. The opportunity was perfect: a great fabric right in the universe of our latest collection + a great pattern that deserves its video ... tadammm the tuto is online ;)
The particularity of the model is the V neckline in front and back. The work on the bust of the dress with a bustier-like cut-out adjusts the model and allows the dress to be held on the shoulders. The upper body of Jasmin is counterbalanced by a tulip skirt, with large pleats in front and back, to contrast the volumes between the upper and lower body, and the waist is raised to increase this effect tulipe.

The model can be put on without a zip if your shoulders are not too marked, but the addition of the zip is planned on the pattern and detailed in the brochure. For a video of how to put a zip on, you can find this step in the video dedicated to this technical point in our "Sewing Secrets" section (link HERE)
This is a very accessible and quick sewing, for a really cute result. And you can contrast the top of the garment to accentuate the strapless look of the pattern. A bi-material version is presented on the pattern's product sheet.
The model is available from 34 to 46, in A4 A0 and US Letter size (click HERE)
I give you the link of this pretty cotton gauze of the Coupons de saint Pierre whose orange color is available HERE and a link towards other pretty flowered double gauze HERE
Zouhhhh, time for the video!
