tutorial sewing pattern overalls sailor
Hello, it's so hot that discovering your gambettes is almost obligatory ...and what better than a nice pair of dungarees to be comfortable! With its bows on the shoulders, its fully lined bust and its slanted buttoning, Sailor is the hottest overallsand the short version makes it a compatible summer-playa-apéro model ;)
The pattern has been part of the Maison Fauve collection for several seasons (it belongs to the SEW ME TENDER collection) and there's still one of your favorites...no more excuse not to film the video tutorial of the pretty overalls SAILOR short version :) The boss already has a step-by-step photo available in the tutorials section of the site for the pants version HERE I bought this nice jacquard last week during a little tour at Mondial tissus ...you know this little tour called flash éclair where we say we come for 2 zips and thread...and where we go home with coupons full of arms hihihi ! It was the end of the packet, the color was hot, in other words, the purchase of a favorite. I hesitated between sewing a jacket SABLE or the pretty SAILOR...the current temperatures decided for me. I have several pretty versions of Sailor in my dressing room, including a pair of ultra hot tweed overalls but not suitable for summer. This jacquard fabric has a good fit, so the pleats on the shorts and cuffs are well highlighted. This sewing pattern can also be sewn in jeans, chino fabric, cotton satin.
I'm putting the tissue link HERE (attention it is a fabric that frays very easily so plan to have a serger on hand). I've put under my Sailor my new little favorite, the Blush camisole. Under the scorching sun it's a perfect combo. For the photo shoot I wanted a dressed outfit: make-up, high heels, a precious bag and jewellery. But a white T-shirt or even a denim shirt will also be perfect with my overalls. The fabric is very loaded, despite its dark colors it's a little satin and calming the game by shifting the outfit to a cooler touch is an option I'll definitely choose. At the moment, you're more "dressed up like never before even in summer" or "holidays I forget everything, forget the heels"? I'll link you to the cover version of the pattern. HERE and version PDF HERE
I have a good mind to sew her up in a less dressy, slightly supple fabric. It's a quick sewing pattern (especially if your fabric has a stretchy pile because there is a way to put it on without a zip;) ). At the moment the installation of the workshop is monopolizing us and the work on the new collection involves a lot of "underwater" sewing, but I promise I'll try to keep up the pace and publish more tutorial videos on a regular basis.

All right, let's go to the dungarees editing video. SAILOR
