Derek's on first-name terms!

Hello!

If you have been following me for a long time, you know that until recently I was a dentist. And I had more than 2 years ago, a little for the wink, created the boss of the Derek cap. A little cap pattern that I had first created for myself, to protect me in my work, and that I thought it was funny to offer you on the Maison Fauve website. The current health situation, and the very strong demand for any protection device has made my little cap a little insignificant, and it is now an element that aims to protect itself or its relatives. And I receive many requests from people who want to sew it for themselves, their relatives, the care teams. But sewing is not something that is necessarily accessible when you are not used to it. And I think it's a shame that everyone who downloads Derek is having trouble. So I've made a video sewing tutorial of my little cap, taking the time to detail all the steps involved in assembling your PDF pattern. Because this is no more "futile" sewing (beware a nice dress or a little blouse will never be futile for me, but you understand me, don't you ? ;)) ), and that I really want this little pattern to be used by everyone! EDIT: I receive a lot of messages asking me to send you the pattern, but DEREK is a free pdf pattern to order from the website (click HERE to get the product sheet) and you will receive in your order confirmation the links to download the pattern and its instructions ;)

Hello, thank you so much for your boss and your tuto.
Thanks to you, my daughter-in-law (liberal nurse) will be able to continue working despite the shortage of equipment. Take good care of yourself. Sincerely, Christine.

Thank you for this tutorial I'm going to attack the 4th cap for my darling dentist and he is delighted because they are better adapted than the commercial ones I just shortened the strips and the back because he doesn't have long hair!

Thank you very much for this tutorial, I've already sewed one for a nurse friend of mine, and yesterday she asked me if it's possible to make some for her team. So, this afternoon, I'm going to get back behind my machine again. Congratulations on what you're doing!
Yours sincerely.

here, the link is www.faisuneblouse.com and you click on "how to make my blouse" it's in size M, not too complicated to sew, and so pretty that you can even wear it as a dress ....
Sincerely

Thank you very much for the free boss and the tutorial!
Very clear explanations.
It was for my daughter pedicure-podiatrists, already the dozen made.
I'm now looking for an over-blouse pattern.
Very happy to have discovered your site,
I'll get back to that as soon as I finish equipping my daughter.
Yours sincerely

hello you have to go to the PDF pattern section, otherwise there is a link click in the blog post, or type Derek in the search tool ;)
nice day!

Good evening,
I ordered the calot pattern from you a little while ago and downloaded it, but I don't have much time to sew at the moment. Although I'm sure it will make a lot of people happy, starting with my rheumatologist.
How do I get a download to my nurse daughter-in-law, who lives far away, sews and will surely be delighted to discover it!
Do I forward her the download e-mail I received or ...?
Thank you for your reply, and congratulations on your sewing pattern !
Yours sincerely

Hi, a friend of mine gave me the sewing pattern and I was lost! But the video saved me, I need to sew some for a cousin who's a caregiver. Many thanks. I have a question: my fabric is too narrow, is it serious if I don't cut the pieces straight?

jennifer clausen August 12, 2020

hello if you don't cut straight you risk having the seams "twist" c to d that twist and this will make the assembly less easy but also less comfortable to wear. Otherwise try to cut perpendicular to the straight thread, but not at an angle ;)

Snowy August 12, 2020

Hello, I saw the tutorial you put on the site and I would like to know how to get the boss, thank you in advance.
I'd like to hear from you.
