If there's one boss who deserves his video tutorial, it's Violette.
It is a model that was part of my very first collection, almost a symbol and I am very proud to see that this pretty blouse does not go out of fashion: the apparent simplicity of its line, its clean front and the work of the hollow pleat and the buttoned yoke at the back continue to seduce you for my greatest pleasure!
I took a lot of pleasure to sew this new version... I was missing a new Violette to my collection ;) For this tutorial, I present you a Violette witha braided gold piping from Pretty Mercerie on the back, and in a nice Anne Kerdilès crepe, whose delicate patterns in shades of blue on a very pale pink background perfectly match the timelessness of the pattern.
This fabric is called "Jardin Anglais", a promise that seduced me because I melt for the delicate floral patterns and the softness of the colours. If I had a little lady to dress I would have sewn her a pretty Miss Violette matching :)
The blouse Violette is a very accessible sewing pattern, the technical stitches are sewing the facing, sewing the hollow pleat and mounting the sleeves with a small work of resorption of the fog at the head of the sleeve.
Our Mini Lemon Violet viscose poplin is not a synthetic fiber, so it won't make you sweat more than cotton.
I've just bought the Blouse pattern Violette. After looking at your site for a long time, I decided to start with this pattern. All your patterns make me want to sew.
For now, I'm going to start with the Blouse Violette.
I was wondering about the fabric you suggest (viscose poplin Mini Lemon Violet) does the material make you sweat?
I'm going to make it with cotton.
Once I've sewn it, I'll send you a photo.
Have a nice day.
I really enjoyed making this blouse (2 copies), thanks to this video which was very useful.
Well explained, I think I followed your technique and managed to make this violent blouse which I like very much. I thank you and I promise to do so.
Thank you very much.
